BOOKING PROCEDURE
To make a booking or for more info, please phone or E-Mail our office.

We do find it easier to talk to our guests to arrange holidays rather than continuous E-Mail, however if this is inconvenient, E your request together with your full postal address and we will do our best to process it for you.
But....our Office is manned from 9am to 4pm Mon - Fri; occasionally on Saturday too, answer phone/mobile at all other times. So please ring us – we like talking to you!
We can hold a provisional booking for up to 10 days with no obligation to you. During that time we like to send you our Brochure and Reservation Form. Once you have finalised your plans, ring/e-mail us, to ensure the date you require is available, we will then book you in and await your 30% deposit, together with your signed Reservation Form, we then send you a receipt and details of when your final payment is due, 6 weeks before the date of your holiday. We then send you another receipt and make arrangements for key collection and even send you a map with details of how to find your holiday home.
Payment can be made by cheque or credit card (3% charge), together with the mandatory Reservation Form. For Last minute bookings or short breaks we take payment in full and can E the Reservation Form to speed things up!
If you want reassurance that we are who we say we are and not a figment of cyber imagination! York Holiday Homes and Watkinsons’ Shoes are the same company. We are a family business trading in York for over 100 years as Watkinsons Shoes (1904) and for over 20 years (1986) as York Holiday Homes, my brother and I am the fourth generation of this local family tradition!
Both businesses are run from our shop and offices in Goodramgate, where we welcome customers to the shoe shop and visitors to the Holiday Homes. So what or who are Watkinsons’ Shoes? Well we are a high grade independent shoe retailer and it is for this that my family are originally known. Many visitors stay in our holiday homes with a visit to the shoe shop top of their ‘things to do in York list’.
